Dylan Frittelli

A native of Sandton, Johannesburg, Dylan won the 2008 South African Boys Matchplay and Strokeplay Championships and was the number one player in the country outside the professional ranks. As a junior, he represented South Africa at the 2008 World Amateur Team Championship in Adelaide, Australia, where he finished in the top 10. Dylan spent four years at the renowned University of Texas on a golf scholarship. He had a hugely successful college career culminating at the NCAA Team Championship where he sunk a 30ft birdie putt at Riviera Country Club to clinch the title. Throughout his excellent senior year, Dylan earned First Team All American status. His three wins and 6 other top 10 finishes gave him 3rd spot on the final individual college rankings. He won the Byron Nelson Award in 2012 for his exemplary playing, academic and community service record. Dylan turned professional in June 2012 after a stellar amateur and college career. He made his professional debut at the prestigious BMW International Open in Cologne, Germany, where he finished an encouraging 33rd. Frittelli has two professional wins under his belt, the first on the Sunshine Tour's 2013 BET season. His second win came in Austria at the Karnten Open on the European Challenge Tour in 2013. He was also named the Sunshine Tour Rookie of the year for 2013.
