Biography
Hendrik is among a handful of players with the distinction of having finished in the top-60 on the Asian Tour Order of Merit in each of the seven seasons since the circuit's inauguration. Most notably in 2000, he finished runner-up to Jyoti Randhawa in the Singapore Open after taking a three-shot half-way lead. In the same tournament two years earlier, he also placed second, which helped him finish tenth on the Order of Merit, his highest ranking in seven seasons. Hendrik says his big break came when he won the Nashua Wild Coast Sun Challenge for the first time in 1993. The biggest moment of his life to date was, however, was playing for South Africa. In 1995, he made headlines after holding the winning putt for South Africa against Australia in the Alfred Dunhill Challenge.
